The same vault, in your pocket

Quasar is the iPhone app for a Meridian household. It is not a second product you buy: it is a free TestFlight companion for paid purchases of Meridian. Buy Meridian, and your invite arrives by email.

What it is

  • The same encrypted vault. Paired over your own network, not through a server.
  • Read it, and change it. Net worth, holdings, cash flow and the retirement picture, with the same figures as the Mac because it is the same data.
  • Offline first. Changes made away from your Mac queue on the phone and settle when the two are back together.
  • A Watch glance. The number you check, without opening anything.

A look at it

The film is the iOS app running on a simulator, with the app's own sample data (Alex and Jordan). The Mac's Quasar and devices view is below.

Pairing, in plain words

The Mac shows a code

A QR code and a six-digit number, from the Mac. Neither leaves the room.

The phone agrees on it

You confirm the same six digits on both screens before any key is sent. A QR code alone is not accepted.

The household key moves once

Encrypted to the phone before it leaves the Mac. Direct when your network allows it; when it cannot, through a public relay that sees only ciphertext.

Revoking rotates the key

Remove a phone and the household key is rotated, so the removed device cannot read what comes next.
