This site counts three things

There is no advertising tracker, no social pixel and no third-party script on this site. What we do run is a counter on our own server, because knowing that a page is read is the difference between writing for readers and guessing.

On this website

  • The counter is Umami, self-hosted on our own hosting.
  • No cookies. It does not write to your device and cannot follow you to another site.
  • Three events only: a page view, a demo open, and a download click.
  • No personal data: no name, no email, no account, and no cross-site profile, because there is nothing to attach it to.
  • Do Not Track is honoured. If your browser asks not to be tracked, the counter is not loaded at all.

Status on this build: the counter is active.

In the app

  • There is no analytics SDK. Nothing reports how you use the app.
  • Three connections happen anyway, with every optional service off: a signed update check to GitHub at launch, a weekly licence check to Polar, and a public relay only when two of your devices cannot reach each other directly. Thesecurity page says exactly what each one carries.
  • We never receive your figures. No balances, no holdings, no household members.
  • Optional services are yours to switch on and each one is disclosed on the Security page, including exactly what it sends.
  • Downloads are counted by GitHub, on the public release page, not by us and not from inside the app.

The demo household

The demo runs the shipped interface on a fictional household, Tom and Mary. It is not a recording and it is not your data. It makes no network request except the site's own files, which this site's build tests for before every release: if the demo ever tried to call a bank, a price feed or an AI service, the build would fail.

Questions

Write to the address on the release page. There is no support portal and no account to look you up in, so say which version you are on and what the app did.
